Learned to Learn!
Limit has officially learned to learn! I am so proud! :-D Tonight we finally got a successful puppy handstand! His core is slowly building muscle so it has been tricky but he clearly finally understand *what* I am asking for him to do! :-) Love it! We also did some perch and some pivoting both directions.

Crate Config
With Ike gone, we revamped the crate configuration in the Element. Now
everyone is in separate crates and there are three on the platform
instead of two. We have the entire under platform and area behind the
passenger seat for gear and packing. This makes life a LOT easier. Click
on photo for notes/labels of where everyone fits.
Herding Instinct Test
Introduced Limit to a small herd of sheep today to see if he had Herding Instinct - boy, did he! He did great, was very confident (loud!) and didn't try to bite any sheep :-D I was incredibly pleased and the trainer thought he would be able to trial if I wanted as well.
Running his mouth...
More photos are HERE.
His turn was slightly shorter due to the sheep deciding he was small and they could probably take him...
Side note - if his "strong" side can be determined by herding, Limit is going to be a left turner on his flyball box turn ;-)

Family Scratch Off!
We had a family "Scratch Off". We were challenged to teach all five
dogs in five days to dig on command. At least 4 scratches in three
seconds. We succeeded! Of course, we turned it into a competition....
;-)
Limit was the hardest to teach this to for several reasons. 1. He doesn't have a clear understanding of the marker system yet. 2. He has no patience and gets locked into temper barking. 3. His attention span is nil LOL
I finally succeeded in a breakthrough when I propped the white lid up on my body and marked for sliding down it with his front feet. I slowly lowered it and then when he was understanding he was to do *something* with his feet and the lid, I added frustration (my hand with food just barely out of reach underneath) and we got some paw hits which I rapidly turned into scratching. What a smarty!

More Limit & Sunshine
Did I mention Sunshine is available for adoption? She's pretty cool! :-)
Here they are digging a hole and trying to stuff each other in it....
Muddy puppies!

Crazed joker!

Oh and his ears? Yeah, they're up. 100% up. I missed it :-( Glad he was with a fellow photographer who could show me as it happened!

Limit at Lies'
This weekend Limit stayed at Lies' house and had a lot of fun playing with her foster puppy, Sunshine. They are a perfect match for each other and Limit is learning boundaries and the proper way to take a correction (from Lies' adult males as well!). It's a perfect set-up!
Crazy Kelpie!

Then I get a message....I'm gone three measly days and his EAR IS UP!!! I can't believe I'm missing out! Thankfully, she takes loads of pics so I can see it!
But, sometimes he looks like this! OMG I hope I have time to get some one-ear up photos before they're both up permanently!
